I have been gathering family information for my husband, R.J. Gurth, who is the grandson of Marie V. deMontbrun and George L. Maingot. He is the son of Odette Maingot and just celebrated his 84th birthday. I have been in touch with Paul dela Bastide but cannot seem to connect with any direct family members. In going through Odette's box of "things" found pictures and two letters from Vincente (Monty) de Montbrun with whom she apparently kept in touch after leaving Trinidad for the U.S. There are also a couple of pictures of Odette's mother, Marie (often referred to as Marita) and one which is noted as "Marita's mother". If it is my husband's grandmother's mother, this lady would be his great grandmother. I would like to get it straightened out for him. He remembers his grandmother, Marie. If anyone has anything to contribute here it would be most appreciated. I could also post the pictures I have if it is appropriate. Thank you Alan for all you have done on this family tree. It is amazing and quite wonderful.
